some children have died from the flu this year here in Colorado, one of them 15 years! Being healthy is one thing I know we often take for granted until you get sick, it is. I found it easier to stay healthy than it is to regain health once they are sick, too. With this in mind (and the season just getting under way), here are some tips for staying healthy this season wrestling:
Eat well. This means eating lots of fruits and vegetables, the best way to get all the nutrients your body needs to stay healthy.
Avoid sugar! Sugar depresses the immune system. Soda is probably the culprit # 1 for most people, so do yourself a favor and fruit juice or fresh water. (Dad and coaches, including alcohol depresses the immune system.)
Integrates with vitamins / minerals. Vitamin C and zinc, in particular, have been shown to stimulate the immune system.
Get enough sleep.
Our immune system is very dependent on this, and are particularly vulnerable to the disease, when we neglect our rest properly (about 8 hours each night for most people).
Stay well hydrated. Your body needs plenty of water to function properly, especially when you do extra things, such as processing and the fight against all the “bugs” that often go around. Hot drinks and soups are also good here, and help us stay warm
. When cool, you force your body to work to keep warm. This requires that the energy of the immune system and makes us more vulnerable to disease. Exercise
(this is easy for the season!). Regular exercise keeps your metabolism high and your body (including the immune system) operating at a high level, like a well oiled machine.
Stay clean. Shower immediately after practice, and wash your hands frequently with soap and hot water. Most cold viruses and flu are spread by direct contact.
Avoid close contact with people who have a cold or flu.
Put your hands in your eyes, nose and mouth. Your hands are probably part of the body where it is more likely that the virus from spreading germs. No need to help the “bad” directly putting in!
Maintain a positive attitude and a vision of joy. More on that later!

Can you ensure that what we spend at least 40 minutes before running off, telling myself that I, I can do, will not hurt honest. Once I convinced myself enough to open the door and curious out of large space and time, I have to remind myself more in the first five minutes of operation that evil will stop soon. I’ve been running all my life and yet, the first five minutes run time, it hurts more.
But then the end will stop the evil and see the world around me, the view through the open fields, wildlife (runners, cyclists, dogs and wild animals most dangerous of all, the people in the car!) a sense of “time” on my skin, usually rain, but once in a blue sky that we have the sun, the pure joy of being able to run and keep running for miles. When I started running, I could barely do 50 meters without collapsing, asking first aid and resuscitation (mouth to mouth always treasure the variety run, if you stick with it, quickly press the amount of progress that can be done in a short period of time. When running the first mile you want to make a full-page ad in the local newspaper, announcing to the world, the birth of a super athlete! (Whatever you do, do not, point people laugh and the next time you see in the city). After his first 3k, 5k and half marathon, I ask you, your skills and feel that really can work. However, if you start worrying about the time, heart rate, speed, etc. miles an hour, etc, can never be happy with his achievements. I find this very boring nonsense maintenance time, but some people need to constantly challenge themselves and try things. But I just want to run, get fit, live long.
Getting in shape, you find you have a bounce in his step, lose kilos of body fat, develop lean long legs and discovers she has a nice cheeky bottom. Life is always worth the pain (somehow).
